Ad campaign for Air India announces benefits
of the airline's new reservation system.

Aimed at travel agents across the U.S., our new trade advertising campaign for Air India communicates the key benefit of the airline's recently launched, enhanced reservation system. Namely, that the system makes booking and ticketing Air India flights from the U.S. and Canada to virtually every part of India as easy as it is for their clients to fly there with the airline.

The catalyst for new reservation system was Air India's merger with Indian Airlines, India's largest domestic carrier. The merger resulted in Air India's absorption of Indian Airlines' comprehensive domestic flight network serving over 50 cities across India. Instead of having to book the international and connecting domestic flights separately, the new system enables agents to book and ticket both segments — in one easy step.

In addition to ads in major travel trade publications, the campaign included multiple e-mail blasts to a nationwide database of home based and frontline travel agents, and a press release to all print and online trade media outlets.

Annual Report Wins Silver Award in Major International Competition

We are especially proud of the 2010 annual report we created for Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC (BBBS of NYC). The annual report took the Silver award at the Vision Awards Annual Report Competition. The competition, representing a broad range of industries and organizations, drew almost 4,500 entries from upwards of 25 countries — the largest number of submissions in its history.

The BBBS annual report was ranked 30th out of the top 50 in all categories, and received a “10” out of a possible “10” for creativity.

This was the tenth annual report produced for BBBS OF NYC by Herman Associates. The 2010 theme, “Envisioning the possibilities,” emphasized the Big and Little match relationships, and how BBBS' programs empowered the “Littles” to envision their future. Case studies described how the “Bigs” encouraged their “Littles” to look beyond their current situations and to pursue their hopes and dreams.

In addition to the creative (design, copywriting, photo supervision, etc.) the agency arranged the interviews, and produced an interactive version of the report for the BBBS of NYC website. That version has links to specially created YouTube videos that bring all the compelling stories to life. To see the online version and videos, visit www.bigsnyc.org/pdfs/bbbs10ar.pdf.
